Loch Obha - Digital print

£30.00

Digital print from Five layer original screen print.

42cm x 29.7cm

In folklore, the Cailleach is said to have undertaken a long journey once a year to Loch Bà on the Isle of Mull, where she would bathe in its waters and become youthful once again. On her journey here one year, she stopped atop Ben Cruachan for a nap as she was keeping watch of a well she had created for her deer. The well overflowed, and flooded the landscape below before she awoke, creating Loch Awe (Loch Obha in Scottish Gaelic) as we know it today.
