FAQ about Hires and joining the collective
-
Can I come and look at the spaces?
YES! Our events & operations manager Alister would love to give you the tour! Email alister@creativestirling.org to communicate a time! You might also catch him on your next visit to Made in Stirling.
-
Do you have disability access and facilities?
We do. Gallery 1 is accessible on the ground floor and can easily be reached. Both the event space and the mezzanine are accessible via an elevator, and other facilities such as our toilets are also wheelchair friendly.
All of our staff are always eager to lend a helping hand if needed.
-
Can I bring my own food and drink?
We can work together to figure out how we can best fill out your catering budget. It is possible for you to look into your own catering options.
-
Can I bring alcohol into the building?
Yes, you are allowed to bring your own drinks to the event. We would then charge corkage, or alternatively we can provide you with a bar.
-
Which photos do I include in the application?
It is best to attach the ones that best represent the kind of work you wish to sell with us, as well as stock that is readily available.
-
Do I have to live in Stirling
Spaces in our store are open to artists from Stirlingshire, but we open our seasonal markets up to artists from all over Scotland.
-
What is the cost?
The cost of our space rental is dependant on the size of your work. The majority of our spaces cost either £39 or £78 a month. If you are able to volunteer in store, you will receive a rebate for your rental.
-
What are you looking for in new artists?
We strive to offer a diverse range of artwork and are careful not to duplicate styles that are currently already in Store.
-
What kind of store is Made in Stirling?
Made in Stirling is artist collective with over 100 local artists and makers. Each artist has a unique style, which makes Made in Stirling the perfect place to browse for locally crafted gifts or souvenirs. All sales also directly benefit both the artists and the local community.
