Made in Stirling Pottery Studio

— Community Making

Made in Stirling has unveiled plans to establish a new pottery studio in the heart of Scotland opening August 2026. The team have designed a dedicated ceramics facility that will provide affordable access to professional equipment, creative learning opportunities, and a community engagement programme.

This is only made possible with grant funding from The National Lottery through Creative Scotland. The Made in Stirling Pottery Studio will offer workshops, open-access studio sessions, makers mentoring, seasonal exhibitions and community engagement activities for people of all ages and levels of experience. The programme of activities will support wellbeing, creativity, and offer professional development through peer learning.

Located within the Creative Stirling Venue, the studio will become a permanent resource for its members, the Made in Stirling Store artists and makers, schools and other community groups already utilising the venue. This project has reacted to demand from the ceramics community across Scotland and will create opportunities for collaboration, learning, and cultural participation.

Paul Jenkins, Creative Director of Made in Stirling CIC said:

Our ambition is to create a welcoming space where anyone can experience the benefits of making, whether they are handling clay for the first time or developing their professional practice”

“Based on the existing model we use for our Made in Stirling Store with our Artists & Makers, we are committed to further strengthening Stirling’s creative economy by expanding the access we provide to arts and culture, this time with clay! The whole team are very excited to get making some pots this summer”.
