An Gearran

from £30.00

Five layer original screen print on 280gsm Somerset.

Limited signed edition of six

76cm x 64cm

At the very start of February, it’s said that the Cailleach is beginning to lose control of her domain, the winter months. On the first of February, she is faced with two possibilities.

The first; it’s a beautiful sunny day, meaning that she can collect her firewood to make winter last another month from her mountain abode. The second possibility; the day is rainy and miserable, meaning she cannot gather her firewood, and winter won’t last much longer. Instead, she will return to her deep slumber, allowing the spring and summer months to return.
