Made in Stirling presents Flock, an exhibition by Scottish illustrator Esther Kent.
Gallery 2
28/09 - 08/11/26
Inky flocks, groups and murmurations swirl across paper, creating rich layers of pattern and movement. Illustrator Esther Kent’s collection of bird-inspired artwork brings celebratory energy and stands for ideas about community and the joy of being part of something bigger.
Expect drawings, prints, a flock of colourful paper birds and an unusual family album. There’s the chance to interact and contribute your own work to the exhibition or join in with family-friendly hands-on workshops throughout the October school holidays. Esther’s prints and cards will also be available to buy.

Esther Kent is an illustrator, designer and maker who creates illustration for picture books, cards and homewares from her studio in Kinross. Esther gained a first class degree in illustration and printmaking at DJCAD. She went on to study publishing and work in arts management before establishing herself as a freelance illustrator. Her paper goods are stocked in galleries and independent shops across the UK and her second illustrated picture book will be published in 2027. She is often inspired by childhood memories and experiences of parenthood, although this collection has been an opportunity to play and explore her abiding love of birds as decorative symbols of connection, liveliness and hope.
