During this day course you will learn how to repair all kinds of clothes and home textiles by hand: from your favourite jeans and cosiest jacket, practical items like towels and sheets, and stretchy items like jumpers and socks.

We will practise samples of all the techniques needed to keep your clothes in working order for longer, keeping them out of landfill and saving you money. 

Bring along any worn or damaged clothes you might like particular advice on that you can get stuck into once you have mastered several different patching and darning methods.

No previous sewing or knitting experience required. Mending is for everyone.

Eilidh Weir is a multidisciplinary artist and designer-maker of slow fashion brand All that is Braw. She has a strong DIY ethic and is committed to building skill and reducing waste across all aspects of life and work. Her textile artworks cover themes such as inclusion, queer joy, protection of biodiversity and building community.
