Gender Neutral Fashion Workshop: Corsets, Design, and Personal Style!
Dates: May 3rd & 4th (must attend both dates)

Join us for a hands-on workshop led by Carina Rose, a talented local fashion designer who has been featured at Vancouver Fashion Week! This is your chance to learn from an expert while exploring gender-neutral fashion and self-expression through design. Whether you're dressing for pride, drag, daily wear, or cosplay/comic-con, this workshop is for you.
What You’ll Do:
Create Custom Corsets
Learn to design and construct under-bust or over-bust corsets to match your style—whether you want something grungy, dramatic, or everyday wearable.Gender-Affirming Alternatives
Explore how to make your clothing more affirming and comfortable for you. Learn to craft binders and versatile, stylish pieces.Upcycle & Personalize
Bring your old clothes (especially jeans!) to transform them with jewelery accents, eyelets, and grungy, statement-making details.Pre-Design Your Style
Use iPads and ProCreate to sketch your ideas and make a plan for your pieces.
What’s Provided:
Learn how to use a sewing machines during the workshop (and ask about borrowing them for future projects).
Material scissors, stencils, and other essential tools.
Carina will hand-make patterns based on your submitted measurements to get you started!
What We Need From You:
Let us know your rough clothing size (including bust, waist, and hips in inches for corsets).
Decide whether you want an under-bust corset, full corset, binder, or even a hat!
We will be in touch prior to the event so you can send us your information a month in advance so Carina can prepare the patterns.
