This event is run by the University of Stirling and the University of Glasgow.
South Africa, like many other countries and regions around the world, is experiencing changes to its weather patterns and environment in ways that are more visible and perhaps unfolding faster than here in mild, temperate Scotland. Over the past 3 years, the Water and Fire project has asked people living near Cape Town to tell stories of what it’s like to live in a place where drought, fire and flood have all become more frequent.
Now, we want to share some of the images and text they’ve produced with people living in the Forth Valley region. We’re hoping that you will want to be part of the project too, using these images and text as stepping stones or doorways to help you imagine what Climate Change might look like, and how it might affect our lives, in the future.
At the workshop, you’ll have the chance to engage with some of the images and texts, and then to make your own stories about a future Raploch, Riverside, Top of the Town, Alloa, Falkirk or beyond …
THIS EVENT IS FREE. LIGHT REFRESHMENTS WILL BE PROVIDED.
