Shonah Escombe is a glass artist who works primarily with the heritage skill of stained-glass to create contemporary, bright items. Using the natural environment as inspiration, she produces beautiful stained-glass windows as well as smaller pieces which serve as sun catchers.
Her love of glass started after attending an evening class on stained glass and this has developed further into techniques such as copper foiling, fusing and painting.
The interplay of light with her work allows the viewer to appreciate the textures and colours of this aesthetically pleasing medium. Shonah is an inspirational teacher who shares her passion for all things glass, she also takes commissions of various scales, and her work can be seen casting light throughout the Forth Valley area and beyond.
